Pay: £14.12 per hour

Contract: 6-month temporary assignment
Location: Birmingham Hybrid (office & remote)

Hays are proud to be working with a local authority to recruit four Finance Assistants to support their finance department during an exciting transition to a new IMS system.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work within the Bank Reconciliation Team to ensure accurate allocation of payments
  • Code transactions correctly and resolve any coding queries.
  • Manage large datasets in Excel with precision and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the council to maintain smooth financial operations

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience handling large data sets in Excel
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Confident stakeholder management skills
  • Oracle experience is a bonus, but not essential.
