A not-for-profit organisation based in Manchester is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Adviser to join their collaborative finance team. Your new role

As Finance Adviser, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of fees and expenses, preparing BACS payment files, and completing month and year-end reports and reconciliations. You’ll handle routine financial queries professionally and support other finance teams during peak periods. You’ll also ensure compliance with financial regulations and safeguarding policies, contributing to the organisation’s mission with diligence and care.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• AAT qualification or equivalent

• Experience dealing with payments

• Experience of providing excellent customer service including demonstrating an ability to deal with a wide range of colleagues

• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, VLookups, and conditional formatting.

• Proficiency in Word and Outlook.

• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
