You’ll be joining a leading provider of innovative packaging solutions, specialising in high-performance sealing equipment and consumables for the food industry. Your new role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and commissioning bag sealing machines at customer sites across the UK and internationally. You’ll respond to breakdowns, carry out installations, and perform routine service visits, ensuring machines operate at peak performance. Beyond technical support, you’ll act as an ambassador for the brand, promoting equipment and consumables, seeking customer feedback, and identifying opportunities for upselling and growth. Collaboration with the engineering support team and adherence to health, safety, and quality standards will be central to your success.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays and occasional international trips.
  • Strong technical knowledge of engineering design, machine specifications, and standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexibility for occasional weekend work and out-of-hours calls.
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems.
