Field Service Delivery Lead
Rate: £490/day Umbrella | 26 weeks+ (likely extension)
Location: Reading (Hybrid – 2 days/week in office, travel as needed)
Start: ASAP | Driver’s check required

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technical delivery for a new Field Management System (engineer scheduling, installs, home checks)
  • Ensure solution designs and third-party low-level designs meet requirements
  • Review and support test cases, Functional, SIT, and Operational Readiness Testing (ORT)
  • Act as first point of contact for technical issues, escalating only when necessary
  • Challenge third-party approaches, drive best practice, and push back when needed
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Hands-on technical delivery in enterprise IT environments (ideally telecoms or field services)
  • Strong background in system testing, IT support, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with enterprise architecture and solution design best practices
  • Able to review, define, and run test cases and ORT
  • Confident communicator, able to influence and challenge third parties

    Not a project manager role, looking for a senior technical specialist or technical lead who enjoys hands-on delivery and technical problem-solving.
