Are you an experienced and passionate farming professional looking to make a real difference?
Do you believe in the power of outdoor learning to re-engage and inspire young people?
Can you lead and develop a school farm that supports both education and wellbeing?

Broadway Academy Trust is seeking an ambitious and committed Farm Manager to lead our growing farm and outdoor education provision in partnership with Top Barn Trust.

The Site
Our developing farm provision is central to our commitment to inclusive, real-world education. It enables students—particularly those who benefit from alternative approaches to: build confidence, resilience and independence, develop practical and employability skills, reconnect with education through meaningful outdoor experiences.

The Role
This is a unique leadership opportunity to manage and develop a working educational farm that sits at the heart of our provision for student engagement, inclusion, and personal development.

You will:
* Lead the day-to-day running and strategic development of the school farm and outdoor education site
* Manage and inspire a small team, including the Outdoor Education Co-ordinator and support staff
* Deliver and develop hands-on learning opportunities that link farming, nature and the curriculum
* Use outdoor activities to support student engagement, behaviour and personal development
* Ensure high standards in health & safety, safeguarding and animal welfare
* Build partnerships with schools, organisations and stakeholders to expand provision
* Lead on funding bids, enterprise initiatives and sustainability of the provision
* Maintain a compliant and productive farm, including livestock, crops and DEFRA requirements

About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has practical farming experience and strong operational knowledge
* Is passionate about working with young people in an educational setting
* Demonstrates strong leadership and people management skills
* Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing
* Can think creatively and develop innovative, enterprise-led opportunities
* Shares the values and ethos of Broadway Academy and Top Barn

Why should you join us?
Broadway Academy Trust has been rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted for over 15 years and is committed to excellence and innovation in education. You will get a real opportunity to shape and grow a unique educational farm provision and the opportunity to lead transformational work with young people in a supportive and values-driven environment. Staff development and staff wellbeing is a priority for us, and we encourage staff to aim high in their careers.
