Hays Specialist Recruitment is actively recruiting for Family Support Workers in London to work with families in child protection cases.

Salary: £17.50 - £25 per hour

Shifts: Day & night shifts available. Flexible working hours.

Your New Role
  • Providing essential support to families under child protection plans, monitoring welfare.


  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment to foster child safety and family unity.


  • Engaging in diverse day-to-day activities tailored to protection needs like supervised visits.


  • Assisting with household tasks like safety assessments and parenting guidance.


  • Supporting in multi-agency meetings.


  • Building trust to accompany families to assessments and interventions.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Preferred Experience: Minimum of 2 years in family support, with child protection experience in the UK.


  • Ideal Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or safeguarding certification. (Note: Mandatory training evidence will be requested, and any required modules will be assigned through our online training platform.)


  • A manual driving license, valid in the UK (desirable).


  • Flexibility: We're seeking workers who are as flexible as possible, accommodating individual needs.


  • Resilience: This role can be challenging, so perseverance and patience are essential.


  • Effective Communication: Good written and verbal skills for case notes and reports.
