Factoring Manager Permanent Glasgow

A well‑established, community‑focused housing organisation is seeking an experienced and proactive Factoring Services Manager to lead its factoring service and ensure the effective management of a growing portfolio of factored properties.

Your new role

The Factoring Services Manager will be responsible for delivering an efficient, customer‑centred factoring service for homeowners and mixed‑tenure properties. The role requires oversight of operational delivery, legislative compliance, financial management, and customer service excellence.
This is a key leadership position requiring excellent organisational skills, strong knowledge of factoring legislation, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality property management services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the factoring service to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organisational standards
  • Oversee inspections, repairs, maintenance, and planned works across factored properties
  • Manage homeowner communications and deliver high‑quality customer service
  • Handle factoring accounts, including invoicing, debt recovery, and budgeting
  • Develop strong working relationships with contractors, internal departments, and external partners
  • Ensure full compliance with the Code of Conduct for Property Factors
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the factoring team
  • Prepare reports and performance updates for senior management

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in factoring, property management, or a similar housing service
  • Strong understanding of the Property Factors (Scotland) Act and associated regulations
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Financial literacy, including experience with invoicing and debt management
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities
  • A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset
A qualification in housing, property, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
