Facilities Assistant

Your new company

We are seeking a Facilities Assistant to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for a commercial contractor. This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing role that supports day‑to‑day Centre operations, building maintenance activity, and the smooth running of teaching and public spaces.

Your new role

Maintain a safe, tidy, and secure central environment at all times.
Serve as a Health & Safety point of contact, including fire warden duties and support with fire drills.
Respond to ad‑hoc maintenance issues, liaising with contractors and ensuring RAMS, permits, and supervision are in place.
Conduct regular security, fire, and health & safety checks, reporting issues as required.
Manage noise levels during the day to ensure teaching is not disrupted.

What you'll need to succeed

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership abilities and team‑focused attitude.
Ability to build rapport with students and staff.
Calm under pressure with strong decision‑making skills.

Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
