Facilities Manager, 6-month contract, Rotherham, £20 an hour basic PAYE
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Facilities Manager to join a busy site on a 6‑month contract. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys leading teams, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service standards.
About the Role
You’ll take ownership of the day‑to‑day management of a large, multi‑service facilities contract, ensuring operational, financial and compliance commitments are consistently met and exceeded. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll be the key point of contact for stakeholders, contractors and on‑site teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership, support and direction to on‑site teams
- Ensure all contractual KPIs and service levels are achieved
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and anticipate customer needs
- Drive high standards in QHSE performance, behaviours and compliance
- Manage staffing structures, succession planning and team development
- Oversee financial performance including revenue, cost control and WIP reduction
- Ensure statutory and policy compliance across all site operations
- Lead on Health & Safety, including RAMS, permits, risk assessments and audits
- Manage Mechanical & Electrical services and ensure technical compliance
- Support business continuity planning and risk management activities
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a similar Facilities Management role
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a customer‑focused mindset
- Confident working with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider operational team
- Calm, reliable and adaptable under pressure
- Willingness to work flexibly when required
Qualifications & Training
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English – essential
- Advanced PC skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Experience with CAFM systems
- Higher‑level qualifications (A‑Level/HNC/Degree) – desirable
- Financial awareness or P&L experience – desirable

- 6‑month contract
- £20 per hour (PAYE)
- Full‑time, site‑based role in Rotherham
