Facilities Manager required for a 6-month contract.

Facilities Manager (Operations) – Band 6
Location: Norwich
Start Date: 01/12/2025
Contract Type: 6-Month Fixed term contract
Salary: £38682 - £46500

We’re working with a leading NHS Trust to recruit a Facilities Manager (Operations) to oversee estates and facilities services across a Primary Care Network (PCN). This is a key operational role, offering the opportunity to lead site management, ensure compliance, and drive service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day management of estates and facilities staff, including portering and support teams.
  • Act as the main point of contact for estates services across the PCN
  • Manage outsourced contracts and ensure service delivery meets agreed standards
  • Oversee space utilisation, site compliance, and risk assessments
  • Support capital and minor works projects, including statutory maintenance
  • Monitor budgets, authorise spend, and contribute to cost improvement plans.
  • Maintain fire safety, security, and emergency procedures across sites
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external contractors to resolve operational issues
  • Ensure statutory compliance and contribute to audit and inspection processes
  • Represent estates in PCN meetings and support strategic planning
What You’ll Need:
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Estates & Facilities management
  • IOSH certification
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience managing operational teams and service contracts
  • Ability to work across multiple sites and manage changing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report writing
  • Knowledge of healthcare environments (desirable)
  • Project or contract management qualifications (desirable)
