We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to join a busy facilities management contract based in Peterborough. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong fabric maintenance and painting & decorating experience, working within a commercial environment.
The role:
You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance tasks across the site, ensuring the building is kept to a high standard and remains safe and operational at all times.

Key duties include:
- Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) checks
- Carrying out reactive fabric repairs
- Inspecting and repairing floors, walls, doors, windows and associated fittings
- Painting and decorating works across the site as required
- Minor repairs to freestanding and fitted furniture
- Assisting engineering staff with general maintenance tasks
- Maintaining accurate maintenance, health & safety and quality records
- Managing tools, equipment and consumable stock
- Undertaking additional duties as directed by the Contract Manager or Facilities Supervisor
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator or Fabric Technician
- Strong all-round fabric maintenance skillset
- Good knowledge of painting techniques and methods
- Plastering experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Sound understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
