Your new role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in St Helens. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in their early years and help create a nurturing, stimulating learning environment.

• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS curriculum activities.
• Support children’s learning and development through play-based and structured activities.
• Promote positive behaviour and ensure a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
• Work closely with staff and parents to support individual needs.
• Assist in personal care (nappy changing)
• Work on developing the children's social and motor skills
• Prepare and organise learning resources and materials
• Support children with SEND and implement individual education plans
• Assist with setting up and tidying away the classroom and outdoor learning areas
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working within an EYFS setting (essential)
• Relevant qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent)
• Strong understanding of EYFS framework and child development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, caring and patient approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
• Full right to work in the UK
