Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant (Qualified or Experienced)
Location: Rock Ferry
Pay: £95–£105 per day (dependent on experience)
Working Pattern: Full-Time, Term-Time
Contract: Ongoing

A warm and supportive primary school in Rock Ferry is seeking a confident and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEN Hub. You will be joining a passionate team who work collaboratively to give every child the best start in their educational journey.

Your New Role
As an EYFS Teaching Assistant based within the SEN Hub, you will:
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible learning activities.
  • Work confidently with children aged 3–5, including those with additional learning, behavioural, or communication needs.
  • Assist with small-group work and 1:1 sessions as required.
  • Help promote positive routines and a safe, stimulating learning environment.
  • Adapt approaches to meet individual needs and encourage independence.
  • Contribute to behaviour support strategies and positive reinforcement.
  • This is a rewarding role where your confidence, care, and creativity will make a genuine difference to pupils’ development.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To thrive in this role, you must have:
  • Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 in Teaching Support, Early Years, or equivalent) or substantial relevant experience.
  • Confidence in supporting young children, including those with SEN.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to follow the teacher's guidance.
  • Strong communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach.
  • A genuine interest in early childhood development.
Experience in an SEN environment is highly desirable. You need to be confident and adaptable. The school are looking for people who will be able to fit in with the team and help out when needed.
