Part-time EYFS Teacher job in Walsall, Starting in October

Hays Education are proud to be working in partnership with Alumwell Nursery School in Walsall to recruit a passionate and experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to cover maternity leave starting October 2025.

Located in Walsall, this Nursery School is a vibrant and diverse local authority nursery school serving children aged 2 to 4 years. The school is deeply rooted in the heart of the Walsall community and is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children feel happy, confident, and secure. The school prides itself on strong relationships with families and a child-centred approach to learning.

As the EYFS Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting the development of pre-school-aged children. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and preparing engaging lessons tailored to the EYFS curriculum
  • Conducting assessments and writing detailed progress reports
  • Attending Parents’ Evenings and Welcome Days
  • Liaising closely with nursery practitioners to set and review individual targets
  • Differentiating activities to meet the needs of children across a range of abilities

We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has experience working in a nursery or EYFS setting
  • Is passionate about supporting the development of pre-school-aged children
  • Has strong planning, assessment, and communication skills
  • Can work collaboratively with staff and families to support each child’s learning journey
