Part-time EYFS Teacher job in Walsall, Starting in October

Hays Education are proud to be working in partnership with Alumwell Nursery School in Walsall to recruit a passionate and experienced Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teacher to cover maternity leave starting October 2025.

Located in Walsall, this Nursery School is a vibrant and diverse local authority nursery school serving children aged 2 to 4 years. The school is deeply rooted in the heart of the Walsall community and is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where children feel happy, confident, and secure. The school prides itself on strong relationships with families and a child-centred approach to learning.

As the EYFS Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting the development of pre-school-aged children. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and preparing engaging lessons tailored to the EYFS curriculum
Conducting assessments and writing detailed progress reports
Attending Parents’ Evenings and Welcome Days
Liaising closely with nursery practitioners to set and review individual targets
Differentiating activities to meet the needs of children across a range of abilities

We are looking for someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience working in a nursery or EYFS setting
Is passionate about supporting the development of pre-school-aged children
Has strong planning, assessment, and communication skills
Can work collaboratively with staff and families to support each child’s learning journey
