EYFS Maternity Cover in Oldham

A well-regarded Primary School in Oldham, rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join their Early Years team on a maternity cover basis.

The successful candidate will take part in a handover during the week before the May half term, with the full-time role commencing immediately after the break. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school environment with a strong focus on high-quality Early Years provision.

Role Responsibilities:

Lead a supportive EYFS classroom, delivering high-quality, play‑based learning
Engage in a structured handover prior to May half term
Plan, prepare, and teach lessons in line with the EYFS curriculum
Track and assess pupil progress, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Work collaboratively with an established Early Years team and support staff
Uphold high standards of safeguarding and classroom practice

What We’re Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong experience working within Early Years
Confident in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons
A positive, enthusiastic, and patient approach
Ability to integrate quickly into a warm and collaborative team
