Do you love supporting young children as they take their first steps into education?

We’re working with a nurturing primary school in South Gloucestershire to recruit a caring and hands-on EYFS Teaching Assistant. The Reception class has 14 children, including three who require additional support—two with Autism and one with speech and language needs. The school is looking for someone who can offer an extra pair of hands to help manage the classroom and provide focused 1:1 support

Your Role Will Include:

• Supporting Reception pupils through play-based and structured learning activities

• Delivering targeted one-to-one and small group interventions

• Encouraging communication, independence, and social development

• Assisting pupils with Autism and speech/language needs to access learning effectively

• Helping with classroom organisation, displays, and admin tasks

What We’re Looking For:

• A warm, patient, and flexible approach to working with children aged 4–5

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience supporting children in EYFS or with SEND – desirable

• Level 2 or 3 Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification – a plus, but not essential
