A welcoming and supportive primary school in the Eccleston area is seeking a Level 2 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant for a 3-week temporary cover, with the possibility of extension. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA who is passionate about early years education and enjoys working in a nurturing environment.

• Support children’s learning and development through play-based and structured activities.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
• Carry out personal care duties with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to planning and assessment.
• Encourage positive behaviour and social interaction among pupils.
• Support children with transitions, routines, and emotional regulation.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and carers.
• Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working in an EYFS setting is essential.
• Comfortable and confident providing personal care.
• A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young children.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
• Full right to work in the UK
