Are you a passionate and qualified EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a nurturing nursery setting? We are supporting a welcoming and well-established nursery in Kingsteignton, Devon, to recruit a dedicated Early Years professional to join their team on a permanent, part-time basis (4 days per week) starting in September.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner who is committed to providing outstanding early years education and helping children thrive during the most important stages of their development.
The Role
As an EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing within a stimulating and inclusive nursery environment. Working closely with fellow practitioners, you will help create engaging activities that promote curiosity, confidence, and school readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
- Foster a safe, caring, and stimulating learning environment
- Encourage children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Support children's individual learning needs and development goals
- Adhere to nursery safeguarding, health and safety, and welfare procedures
- Contribute to planning engaging indoor and outdoor learning activities
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent recognised childcare qualification)
- Previous experience working within an EYFS or nursery setting
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
