KS1 Teaching Role in Wigan – ECTs and Experienced Teachers Welcome

Hays Education is proud to be working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Wigan to recruit a passionate and committed KS1 Class Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

Your new role

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic teacher to take on a full-time Key Stage 1 class. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive and forward-thinking school that places a strong emphasis on pupil wellbeing, high-quality teaching, and collaborative working.


Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that supports all learners.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing timely feedback and support.
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including school events and extracurricular activities.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 (including ECTs with relevant placements).
  • A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
  • A nurturing and reflective practitioner with a passion for early learning.
