Your new company

HAYS Architecture & Design are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing off-site construction and manufacturing specialist in their search for an experienced CAD Designer to join their Lisburn-based team. This organisation has built a strong reputation within the timber frame and modular construction sector, delivering efficient, high-quality building solutions across residential and commercial projects. With a strong pipeline of work and continued investment in modern methods of construction, they offer a stable and forward-thinking environment for design professionals.

Your new role

As an experienced CAD Designer, you will play a key role in the technical design and delivery of timber frame systems, working closely with internal design, production and project teams. You will be responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings, developing detailed design packages and ensuring all information is suitable for manufacturing and on-site installation. This role will see you coordinating with architects, engineers and clients to translate design intent into practical, buildable solutions, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail throughout. You will also support the preparation of production information, including layouts, schedules and documentation required for efficient manufacture.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you will have demonstrable experience working as a CAD Designer or Technician within a construction, timber frame or manufacturing environment. You will possess strong technical drawing capabilities, with proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software, and a solid understanding of construction detailing. Experience working closely with production or workshop teams is highly beneficial, alongside the ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings. You will be detail-driven, organised and able to manage your workload effectively, with strong communication skills to liaise confidently with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will join a dynamic and expanding organisation at the forefront of modern construction methods, offering exposure to a varied and technically interesting project portfolio. You will benefit from a collaborative working environment where your input will be valued, alongside opportunities to further develop your technical expertise within the timber frame sector. This role offers long-term stability and the chance to play a key part in delivering efficient, high-quality building solutions.
