Your new role

As an experienced Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for handling various financial tasks, including Banking Reconciliation, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Payroll, Pensions and VAT returns. (CIS experience desirable)

This includes:

  • Maintain Accurate Financial Records: Utilising Sage software to record and organise financial transactions accurately.
  • Process Payroll and Pensions: Handle payroll processing for employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Prepare and Submit VAT Returns and Submit CIS Reports: Generate and submit Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) reports as required.
  • Reconcile Bank Statements and Accounts: Regularly reconcile bank statements and accounts to maintain accuracy.
  • Assist with Month-End and Year-End Reporting: Collaborate with the finance team to prepare financial reports.
  • Effective Communication: Interact with clients and vendors regarding financial matters.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven Experience with a demonstrated track record as a bookkeeper.

  • Proficiency in Sage Software (Essential)

  • Knowledge of Payroll Processing, VAT Returns (CIS Reports desirable)

  • Attention to Detail and Accuracy: Ensure precision in financial records.

  • Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills: Effective communication with team members, clients, and vendors.

  • Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Transportation: Own transport preferred (or a full clean driving licence) due to occasional travel to other offices (expenses will be reimbursed).
