Your new role

  • Deliver insightful monthly reports (MI) to senior leadership teams
  • Provide responsive support to audits and lead on ad hoc financial investigations
  • Help the wider F&IA function by supporting ongoing projects and day-to-day needs
  • Take ownership of business-as-usual expense activities for pooled funds
  • Contribute accurate data to both the sub-ledger and general ledger systems
  • Oversee weekly payments, including CHAPS transfers, and manage related journal entries
  • Handle month-end routines, covering all necessary prepayments and accruals
  • Set up and manage suppliers in alignment with procurement guidelines
  • Establish and update ledger accounts, ensuring links to budget owners are correct
  • Forge strong working relationships with internal stakeholders such as Finance and F&IA

What you'll need to succeed

  • Solid foundation in expense accounting with at least 2 years' experience in a similar finance role
  • AAT qualification or equivalent (desirable, not essential)
  • Clear communication across all levels and departments
  • Proactive self-starter who takes ownership
  • Passion for process efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Adaptable mindset—able to flex with shifting business priorities
  • Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally to reach shared goals
  • Willing to constructively challenge and open to feedback
