Permanent Executive Assistant role based in Edinburgh City Centre

Your new company

Hays are delighted to be partnering with a charitable organisation based in Edinburgh City Centre who are looking to appoint an Executive Assistant to their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role

In this role you will support the work of the Chief Executive, the Executive Team and the Board of Directors in leading the organisation and provide communication and support to the wider Leadership Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Managing mail and ensuring effective and timely response to correspondence.
  • Managing the Chief Executive’s diary appointments proactively.
  • Scheduling and arranging support for meetings for the Chief Executive and Executive Team.
  • Support the Chief Executive with special projects as required.
  • Managing correspondence and ensuring confidentiality and prompt responses.
  • Planning and supporting meetings and special events.
  • Arranging travel and accommodation when required.
  • Scheduling meetings of the Leadership Team and supporting and minuting the meetings.
  • Providing support to the Board and its committees by scheduling meetings, arranging venues, taking minutes, and ensuring actions lists are up do date and followed up.
  • Coordinate the corporate support work of the administration staff across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be an experienced Personal/Executive Assistant with a background supporting C-suite or Senior Leadership Teams in a busy administrative role. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have experience in minuting meetings.

What you'll get in return

This role offers a competitive salary of £30,000-35,000 dependent on experience, full-time hours 37.5 per week and flexible hybrid working.
