Interim Executive Assistant, Brighton – 6 month assignment

Are you a proactive, highly organised professional with a passion for supporting senior leadership? We’re looking for an exceptional Executive Assistant to provide expert, autonomous support to a Director. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing competing priorities, and is confident handling sensitive information with discretion.
As Executive Assistant, you will act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Director. You’ll manage complex diaries, coordinate high-level meetings, and ensure they are fully prepared for all engagements. You’ll also play a key role in supporting strategic projects, gathering and synthesising information to aid decision-making, and ensuring seamless communication across the business. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide high-level administrative support, including diary and inbox management, meeting coordination, and document preparation.
  • Act as a trusted liaison for internal and external stakeholders, managing communications with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proactively gather, analyse, and present information to support strategic decision-making.
  • Coordinate and minute executive-level meetings, ensuring timely follow-up on actions.
  • Support with managing and prioritising projects/initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in all interactions.
  • Represent the Director with confidence, courtesy, and professionalism.

What you'll need to succeed

You'll have proven experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced, complex environment. Outstanding organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and work independently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting high-quality correspondence and briefing materials. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and confidence in using digital tools to streamline workflows. A calm, composed, and proactive approach, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence. Experience managing small projects from high-level briefs is desirable.

What you'll get in return

You'll receive an hourly rate of £23.24/hr plus holiday. Hybrid working - 6 days/month in the office, the rest working from home.
