The role
The Examinations Officer works with the Headteacher and Senior Leaders to act on behalf of the Academy in all matters relating to the administration of awarding body examinations and assessments.
You will:
* Manage the administration of external examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations, on behalf of the JCQ member awarding bodies
* Ensure the integrity and security of the examinations/assessments at all times
* Support the Headteacher/CEO in taking all reasonable steps to prevent the occurrence of any malpractice before, during and after examinations have taken place
* Recruit and line manager the invigilation team
* Support the school’s data management processes
We are looking for someone with:
* Excellent organisational skills
* Strong understanding of Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations and exam board procedures
* Excellent communication skills with a range of audiences including students, staff and parents
* Experience of managing internal and external examinations within an educational setting
* Attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
* Ability to produce accurate and timely data analysis
* Experience of education MIS systems (e.g. Arbor, Bromcom, SIMS)
* Experience of managing staff
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
