About the Role
Are you a master of logistics with a flair for creativity? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are the same? Bournemouth University is on the lookout for an enthusiastic Events Coordinator to join our central Events team and help bring our vision to life through unforgettable experiences.
This is your chance to play a pivotal role in delivering a diverse portfolio of events—from high-energy Open Days and prestigious Graduation ceremonies to cutting-edge academic showcases like the Festival of Design & Engineering and BFX. You’ll be at the heart of the action, helping to shape moments that inspire, engage, and elevate BU’s reputation.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Plan & Deliver Impactful Events: Coordinate everything from concept to execution for BU’s flagship events, ensuring they run smoothly, meet objectives, and leave a lasting impression.
  • Support Student Recruitment: Help drive BU’s growth by supporting recruitment-focused events like Open Days, campus tours, and UCAS exhibitions across the UK.
  • Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers to bring each event to life. You’ll be a key point of contact and trusted advisor throughout.
  • Track Success & Drive Improvement: Monitor registrations, attendance, and feedback to evaluate event impact. Use insights to refine future experiences and raise the bar every time.
  • Champion Operational Excellence: Use tools like Artifax to manage logistics, resources, and timelines. Keep everything on track and running like clockwork.
  • Lead with Confidence: Support and train Student Ambassadors, ensuring they represent BU with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Ensure Safety & Inclusivity: Uphold BU’s values by ensuring every event is safe, accessible, and inclusive—meeting all relevant policies and standards.
What We’re Looking For
  • A proactive, detail-oriented organiser with a passion for events
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and thrive under pressure
  • Experience in event planning, coordination, or project support
  • A flexible team player who’s ready to travel and work outside standard hours when needed
