Trust Estates Lead - number schools across the Merseyside region


Your new role

As a Trust Estates Lead, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the estates strategies for schools within our Trust, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and maintaining safe, welcoming environments for students and staff. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will collaborate with school leaders and site management teams to manage all aspects of estate upkeep, maintenance, security, and facilities management.


**Main Duties and Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement a long-term vision for managing Trust estates in alignment with educational priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies, legislation, and the DfE's guidelines on estates management.
- Manage lettings arrangements across multiple schools and oversee estate budgets to maximize cost-effectiveness.
- Support the delivery of major capital projects funded by the Schools Condition Allocation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate sites, propose improvement projects, and oversee maintenance programs.
- Manage estate staff, contractors, and consultants to execute plans efficiently and within budget.
- Maintain accurate asset management plans, oversee grounds maintenance, and ensure sustainability practices are in place.
- Uphold health and safety standards, manage utilities effectively, and oversee security measures for Trust estates.
- Promote community engagement through safe and efficient use of school facilities for lettings.

What you'll need to succeed

**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Previous experience in estates management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in estates management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve strategic objectives.
- Proficiency in budget management and project oversight.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk management practices.
