Security Escort required at HMP Bullingdon

Your new company

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Security Escort at HMP Bullingdon in Bicester. A category B, the prison has a capacity of 1,114 and is a resettlement prison with a focus on men at the start of their time in custody and as they prepare to transition back to their communities. The prison also holds individuals on remand and those with short sentences.

Your new role

Working as a Security Escort, you will be responsible for escorting contractors as they carry out maintenance work around the prison for a variety of different projects. Duties will include:
• Full body searches for contractors as they enter and leave the prison.
• Tool checks.
• Patrols.
• Ensuring that health and safety standards are achieved across the contract.
• Attention to detail when monitoring work.

This role will require you to work Monday–Friday, 7.30 - 4.30 or 07:00 - 16:00 with an hour's unpaid lunch. This is an ongoing temporary contract but can lead to a career with HMPPS.

Premium rate: £14.00 (inclusive of holiday)
Weekday Overtime: £17.41 (inclusive of holiday)
Weekend Overtime: £22.92 (inclusive of holiday)

What you'll need to succeed

You will not require previous experience as you will receive full-on-job work. You will need to be a strong communicator, level-headed and security conscious. You will be able to work well in a team and have excellent interpersonal skills. You will be required to provide 2 satisfactory references and will be subject to full prison clearance. You must possess a UK driving licence.

What you'll get in return
