Our client is seeking a confident and experienced HR Consultant for a 6-month interim assignment, providing dedicated support to operational teams across Norfolk and Suffolk. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment and enjoys partnering with managers to resolve complex employee issues, enhance team performance, and support organisational change.
This is a largely remote role, with weekly site visits across the region. The successful candidate will start as soon as possible, working on a day-rate basis via Hays.
Your new role
- Provide expert advice on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, and performance issues
- Support managers with absence management, including long-term sickness and occupational health referrals
- Assist with organisational change, including restructures and TUPE processes
- Coach and empower managers to handle HR matters confidently and compliantly
- Analyse HR data to identify trends and recommend improvements
- Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, and contract mobilisation activities
- Maintain effective relationships with trade unions and support consultation processes
- Ensure consistent application of HR policies and UK employment legislation
- A solid generalist HR background with strong employee relations experience
- CIPD qualification or equivalent practical experience
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong customer service orientation
