English Teacher – Secondary School – Kendal
Location: Kendal, Cumbria
Start Date: Monday 22nd September 2025
Contract: Until Christmas 2025
Daily Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you a passionate and dedicated English teacher looking for your next opportunity? At Hays Education, we are working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Kendal to recruit an enthusiastic English specialist to join their team from Monday 22nd September until the end of the Autumn term.

This is a fantastic opportunity to teach across KS3 and KS4 in a supportive environment that values creativity, high standards, and student engagement. The school has a strong reputation for academic excellence and pastoral care, and is seeking someone who can inspire learners and contribute positively to the English department.


What you'll need to succeed:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English at secondary level
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • A commitment to raising achievement and delivering engaging lessons
