Are you a passionate and resilient English Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference? Hays Education is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH and hospital school in North Manchester to recruit an English Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is a full-time, long-term role teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4 to students with a range of social, emotional, and mental health needs. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.

This unique educational setting provides tailored learning for pupils who are unable to attend mainstream school due to medical or mental health needs. The school operates across multiple sites and offers a nurturing, trauma-informed environment where staff work closely with therapists, medical professionals, and families to support each student’s individual journey. What You'll Need to Succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4
- A strong understanding of SEMH and/or experience in alternative provision, PRU, or hospital school settings
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- A compassionate, adaptable, and trauma-informed approach to teaching
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one through Hays
