Your new role

As an English Teacher, you’ll play a key role in helping students develop their communication skills, critical thinking, and appreciation for literature. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5, depending on experience).
  • Inspiring students through a diverse range of texts, writing styles, and creative activities.
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support academic growth.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages discussion, expression, and confidence.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop curriculum resources and share best practices.
  • Supporting extracurricular activities such as reading clubs, writing competitions, or school productions.
