About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated English Literature and Language Teacher to join our thriving English department. You will teach across Key Stages 3 to 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that foster a love of reading, writing, and discussions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in English Language and Literature.
  • Inspire and support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities and literacy initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:
  • A qualified teacher with a QTS (or equivalent).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English.
  • Experience teaching KS3–KS5 (including A-Level).
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive and innovative teaching practices.

Desirable Characteristics of an Experienced Teacher:
  • A proven track record of outstanding student outcomes.
  • Experience mentoring early-career teachers or leading CPD sessions.
  • Confidence in using data to inform teaching and learning strategies.
  • Creativity in curriculum design and lesson planning.
  • A reflective practitioner who embraces feedback and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with current educational research and pedagogical trends.
  • A collaborative spirit and willingness to contribute to departmental development.
