Hays Engineering are delighted to be partnering with a leading international manufacturer to recruit an experienced Engineering Manager. Operating across global markets, our client designs and manufactures highly engineered mobile equipment and has built an excellent reputation for innovation, quality and continuous improvement.

Due to continued growth and investment, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Engineering Manager to join the senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping future product development, engineering excellence and operational performance.

Your new role
As Engineering Manager, you will lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for the design, development and continuous improvement of a market-leading product range.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading, mentoring and developing a multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • Managing multiple engineering projects from concept through to production.
  • Driving product innovation, quality improvements and engineering best practice.
  • Working closely with manufacturing, supply chain, operations and commercial teams to deliver business objectives.
  • Overseeing resource planning, budgets and project delivery timelines.
  • Supporting new product introduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant engineering, safety and quality standards.
  • Developing a culture focused on innovation, collaboration and operational excellence.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally possess:
  • Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven leadership experience within an engineering management position.
  • Strong background in heavy machinery, mobile equipment, manufacturing or bespoke engineered products.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience leading product development and engineering improvement projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to influence at senior leadership level.
  • A passion for continuous improvement and developing high-performing teams.
