Looking for Engineering Lead (OCP, Ansible)

Your new company

You’ll be joining an organisation that is modernising its infrastructure by adopting OpenShift at scale. The company is heavily invested in cloud‑native transformation, containerisation, and enterprise‑grade virtualisation/storage technologies such as VMware and Pure Storage. The environment is fast‑moving, innovative, and focused on high availability, automation, and a strong DevOps culture.

Your new role

As an OpenShift Architect (Migration & Integration Specialist), you will design and build the end‑to‑end architecture for OpenShift deployments and lead major migration initiatives. You will create scalable, secure, and highly available OpenShift solutions while ensuring seamless integration with VMware and Pure Storage environments.
Your work will span architecture design, migration planning, CI/CD enablement, automation, and cross‑team collaboration.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you should bring:
Technical Expertise
Strong experience designing and implementing OpenShift architectures.
Deep understanding of Kubernetes, containers, networking, and storage.
Hands‑on knowledge of VMware stack: vSphere, vCenter, NSX.
Experience configuring Pure Storage: FlashArray, FlashBlade.
Strong CI/CD background (Jenkins, GitHub, ArgoCD) and DevOps practices.
High availability, security (RBAC, encryption, policies), and scalability expertise.
Solid migration project experience — containerisation, data migration, workload transformation.
Automation and scripting: Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform.

Soft Skills
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Strong problem‑solving approach.
Ability to work with developers, DevOps, infra teams, and leadership.

Nice to Have
OpenShift certifications.
Multi-cluster or hybrid cloud OpenShift experience.
Monitoring/logging stack familiarity (oTel, Grafana, Splunk).
Experience with Helm charts and Operators.

What you'll get in return

Opportunity to lead large‑scale, high‑impact OpenShift migration and architecture initiatives.
Work with cutting‑edge cloud‑native, virtualisation, and storage technologies.
A chance to influence enterprise‑level architecture decisions and best practices.
Collaboration with senior engineering, DevOps, and architecture teams, boosting visibility and career growth.
Exposure to multi‑region deployments, automation, and modern DevOps ecosystems.
The ability to shape future OpenShift adoption strategies across the organisation.
