Our client is a leading multidisciplinary consultancy with an established presence across the UK and Ireland. Due to continued growth within their Belfast office, they are seeking an Engineer to join their expanding Development Infrastructure team. Working alongside experienced engineers, environmental specialists and planners, you will play a key role in delivering drainage and flood risk solutions for a wide range of development projects including residential, commercial, industrial, retail and mixed-use schemes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer or environmental professional looking to develop their technical expertise within a collaborative and supportive consultancy environment.
Your new role
As part of the Development Infrastructure team, you will support the delivery of drainage and flood risk projects from initial planning through to construction.
Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing drainage designs for development and infrastructure projects.
Supporting planning applications through technical assessments and reports.
Producing flood risk and drainage strategies.
Undertaking hydraulic calculations and drainage modelling.
Preparing technical reports and engineering documentation.
Working closely with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary project teams.
Supporting projects through detailed design and construction stages.
What you'll need to succeed
Applicants may come from a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geography or related discipline.
You should have:
Approximately 3+ years' post-graduate experience within drainage, flood risk, civil engineering or infrastructure development.
Experience supporting planning applications and development projects.
Strong technical report-writing skills.
Knowledge of drainage design principles and SuDS.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
