Employment Law Tribunal Advocate | Permanent | £70,000 | Home‑based with UK travel | Full Time OR Part Time

YOUR NEW COMPANY

You will be joining a well‑established organisation within a wider group that provides HR software and legal services to SME clients across the UK. The business is known for its collaborative culture, supportive leadership and strong reputation in the employment law space.

This vacancy has arisen due to a planned retirement, offering a smooth and well‑supported transition.

YOUR NEW ROLE

As an Employment Law Tribunal Advocate, you will represent clients across a broad range of tribunal matters, with a 50/50 split between face‑to‑face and virtual hearings. Cases span the whole of the UK, and travel expenses are fully covered.

You will manage your own caseload end‑to‑end, preparing for and conducting final hearings, also handling matters that progress to the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT). The workload is well-balanced, ensuring you have the time and space to deliver high‑quality advocacy.

This role is offered on a full‑time basis, but the organisation is open to a part-time offering also.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2–3 years’ hands‑on tribunal experience, including managing your own cases and conducting final hearings (non‑negotiable).
  • Experience of the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) is desirable.
  • Strong advocacy skills and confidence representing clients in both public and private sector matters (private sector experience preferred but not essential).
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a supportive team culture.
  • A calm, composed and collaborative approach, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients alike.

BENEFITS

  • Competitive salary of £70,000 plus company benefits.
  • Home‑based working with fully expensed travel.
  • Supportive, friendly team environment with regular virtual collaboration.
  • Opportunity to work across a diverse caseload with SMEs nationwide.
  • Part‑time option available.
