A very well-established FTSE 250 business is looking to recruit an Employment and Commercial Lawyer on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to cover adoption leave. This business is going through a transition period, and implementing some really forward-thinking strategies, so it's an exciting time to join.

You will report to the General Counsel and the role itself will be split between employment and commercial work, you will have a good balance most days, sometimes swayed one way more than the other depending on the workload, and ideally, you will have experience in both areas of law. The employment work will predominantly be non-contentious, with some early stage tribunal work and the commercial work will involve reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts, as well as some generalist exposure. You will be working within a mid-sized team and although expected to hit the ground running, training will be provided to an up and comer with a lower PQE level, if you are ambitious to learn and grow.

The role will be of a hybrid nature and you will get exposure to an established organisation, who are in a transformative phase, striking a good balance to be able to get involved with some really interesting work. The team is experienced, so you will have plenty of people to learn from and bounce off. Ideally, you will have experience in the recruitment sector, however, other industries will definitely be considered. You will be commonwealth qualified, and by way of a guideline you will be 2-6 PQE, however, more junior and more qualified candidates will definitely be considered with relevant experience.
