Our client is a leading UK Top 50 law firm with a strong national presence and a growing Bristol office. With a heritage spanning over 160 years, they advise businesses, public sector organisations, and individuals across a wide range of sectors. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, commitment to diversity, and dedication to delivering exceptional client service. Ranked highly in Chambers and Legal 500, they are proud to be recognised as one of the best firms to work for.

Your new role
You will join a Tier 1 ranked Employment team – one of the largest in the country – recognised nationally for its expertise and breadth of service. The team advises on all aspects of employment law, both contentious and non-contentious, for a diverse client base across multiple sectors. In this role, you will provide advice on a wide range of employment issues, including drafting contracts and policies, handling day-to-day HR queries, and supporting corporate transactions. You will also manage contentious matters such as unfair dismissal, discrimination claims, and employment tribunal litigation, as well as advising on TUPE, redundancy, and restructuring projects. A key part of the role will involve building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives. For those at Senior Associate level, supervising and mentoring junior team members will also be expected.

What you’ll need to succeed
You will be an experienced employment lawyer with a solid background in handling a broad range of employment law matters. You should have strong technical knowledge combined with commercial awareness and excellent client care skills. Experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters is essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a large team and contribute to practice development. Previous experience supervising juniors will be advantageous.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded team within a growing Bristol office. You will enjoy working in a supportive and inclusive environment that values career development and offers flexibility to suit modern working practices. The firm provides a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing and professional growth.
