Employee Relations Advisor
Part-time | 3 days per week | Hybrid | Sheffield
Salary: Competitive (pro rata)

Hays HR is delighted to be working with a well-established organisation based in Sheffield to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Advisor on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is a hybrid role, combining home working with on-site presence in Sheffield.
The role
As Employee Relations Advisor, you will provide high-quality, pragmatic ER support to managers across the organisation. You will manage a busy and varied caseload, ensuring employee relations issues are handled consistently, fairly and in line with employment legislation and organisational policy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end employee relations casework, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, capability and performance issues
- Advising and coaching managers on ER best practice and employment law
- Supporting investigations, hearings and appeals, including preparation of relevant documentation
- Ensuring a consistent approach to ER matters across the organisation
- Contributing to the review and improvement of ER processes and policies
What you’ll need to succeed
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (essential)
- Significant experience across all aspects of employee relations casework, with the ability to manage cases autonomously
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law, with recent experience of working in HR in the UK
- Confident communicator, able to influence and challenge appropriately
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and sound judgement
