Your new role
- Performing fault diagnosis and repairs on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Prioritising breakdowns in collaboration with operations to minimise downtime.
- Supporting project work, quality assurance systems, and health and safety initiatives.
- Ensuring all work is documented and compliant with internal policies and HSE regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum of ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience working with heavy plant and equipment in an industrial setting, ideally within quarrying or bulk handling environments.
- Strong practical knowledge of conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating machinery.
- Diagnostic and fault-finding skills using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with Permit to Work systems and incident reporting procedures.
- Desirable: Knowledge of PLCs, drive control systems, HV networks, and CMMS platforms such as SAP.
- Understanding of maintenance strategies like RCM, PM, CBM, and TPM.
- A full, valid UK driving licence.
