Electrical Engineer AP

Your new company

Our client is an inclusive and responsible business delivering nationwide facilities' management services. This includes M&E support, cleaning, catering, and grounds maintenance, using technology for efficient planned and reactive services. They are seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer to join the Commercial Maintenance team based in London.

Your new role

  • Support Health & Safety compliance, deliver team training, and ensure all work is carried out safely and diligently.
  • Assist with daily supervision, including apprentices, and complete college reports and required documentation.
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance, including equipment operation, inspection, fault-finding, and repairs in line with company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records, asset registers, and incident reports (when assigned), and ensure timely completion of permits, material requests, and quality system requirements.
  • Participate in required training, follow policies and procedures, and carry out additional duties within capability.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Completed recognised apprenticeship with City & Guilds Level 2 (minimum) and NVQ Level 3 (minimum).
  • 5+ years’ engineering experience within the service industry, including at least 2 years of direct client‑facing work.
  • Strong knowledge of control systems and HVAC systems, supported by IEE 17th Edition certification.
  • Holds IOSH Working Safely (minimum). LV/HV authorisation is an advantage.
  • Demonstrates a solid technical foundation through formal training, industry certifications, and hands‑on operational experience.
