Job Title: Electrical Estimator
Location: Office-based, with site visits as required
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Your new role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our pre-construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates and tender submissions for projects ranging in value from £100,000 to £3.5 million. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with design and project teams.

  • Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates and tender documentation
  • Review and analyse specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements
  • Undertake material and labour take-offs to support cost planning
  • Collaborate with pre-construction, design, and project teams to ensure accuracy and competitiveness of tenders
  • Attend site visits as required to support the estimating process
  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners

What you'll need to succeed

  • City & Guilds Electrical qualifications (or equivalent recognised certification)
  • Time-served background as an electrician, electrical supervisor, or in a comparable role
  • Demonstrable experience in electrical estimating within the commercial and/or light industrial sectors
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
