Your new role
This Electrical Engineer role is focused on maintaining and optimising electrical systems across client sites. You’ll be responsible for ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure, working both independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance of electrical systems: lighting, power distribution, emergency systems
  • Fault-finding and diagnostics on electrical equipment
  • Installation and commissioning of new electrical systems
  • Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations like BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
  • Working with Building Management Systems (BMS)
What you'll need to succeed
Typical Qualifications
  • City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Installation or Engineering
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
  • Apprenticeship in electrical engineering or building services
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance within facilities management
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and compliance standards
  • Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently
  • Experience working with BMS and energy-saving technologies
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
