Electrical Commissioning Engineer, Cookstown

Your new role as a full-time Electrical Commissioning Engineer will involve supporting the electrical engineering staff. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team and contribute to the success of the organisation. Your responsibilities will include delivering industrial electrical LV & HV in-site services and installing throughout the UK & Ireland. The role will be based in Northern Ireland with opportunities to work throughout the UK & Ireland if desired. You will be installing LV switchgear, control panels, and secondary equipment, terminating power and control cabling, completing pre-power up checks, testing and fault-finding within control panels and instrumentation devices, carrying out alterations to existing control panels on site to suit clients’ requirements, commissioning control panels onsite and in the workshop, and installing, commissioning, and maintaining VSDs. There will also be opportunities for the installation of HV switchgear and controls, with training provided. You will be prioritising and managing allocated work and complying with all current regulations.
What you’ll need to succeed is 2–3 years’ experience in a similar role, an NVQ/HNC/HND/BENG in a related discipline such as Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, and knowledge in the electrical engineering sector including switchboards and control panels. Experience in testing and fault-finding within a process control environment is essential. Candidates should have a driving license and be willing to learn and develop their skills in a fast-paced engineering company at the forefront of the field.
