Job Opportunity: EHCP Support Assistant – Primary School, Wirral

Are you passionate about making a difference in children's lives? Do you have experience supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)? Hays Education is seeking a dedicated EHCP Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Wirral.
Your new role
As an EHCP Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with EHCPs. Your role will be vital in helping children access the curriculum, develop independence, and thrive socially and emotionally.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with EHCPs
- Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs and liaise with external professionals
- Monitor progress and contribute to review meetings
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Support classroom routines and behaviour management
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with children with SEND, ideally in a school setting
- Understanding of EHCPs and how to implement support strategies
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
