Freelance ECoW Opportunity – South of England.

Environmental Clerk of Works (ECoW) – Rail & Road Projects
Location: South of England (with travel across the UK)
Contract Type: Freelance / Contract
Day Rate: Competitive – Inside IR35 (via umbrella company)
Start Date: ASAP

Your new company
A leading environmental consultancy delivering ecological support across major infrastructure projects in the UK. With a strong pipeline of work in the South of England, they are seeking an experienced ECoW to join their team on a contract basis.

Your new role
You’ll be working as an Environmental Clerk of Works (ECoW) across rail and road schemes, ensuring environmental compliance and ecological protection on active construction sites. You’ll liaise with contractors, oversee ecological mitigation measures, and support the delivery of method statements and watch briefs.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • Previous experience as an ECoW on infrastructure projects
  • A valid CSCS card
  • Track Safety certification – either RTS or PTS
  • A Highways Passport
  • Your own PPE
  • Flexibility to travel across sites, primarily in the South of England
