As an Environmental Consultancy, they typically provide the following services; Ecology, Arboriculture, Flood Risk Assessment and Habitat management.
Working here will give you a deeper understanding of the environmental industry through interaction in a multidisciplinary team, develop your consultancy skills with a range of projects and boost career progression with development plans and promotions.
Your new role
This company is looking for Ecologists at varying stages of their career, you will be working on a large range of exciting projects, with the ability to work on all aspects from conception to completion. Main duties will vary depending on level but could include…
- Protected species surveys and Habitat Surveys (Bats, GCN, reptiles, badgers, otters, crayfish, birds and dormice)
- Ecological Impact Assessments
- Habitat Regulations Assessments
- Preliminary Ecological Appraisals
- Biodiversity Impact Assessments
- Environmental/Habitat Management Plans
- Provide mitigation through consultancy
- Habitat Creation, Restoration & Translocation
- Report writing
- Client liaising
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in an Environmental, Ecology or relevant field
- Experience in a consultancy setting
- Field / site-based experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of relevant UK legislation
- A holder of a protected species licence (or working towards)
- Associate or Full membership in CIEEM (or working towards)
- Full UK Driving Licence.
