Dame Allan’s Junior School and Nursery is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated and successful team in September 2025. You will play a key role within our outstanding, purpose-built department, directly supporting our Early Years Teachers to nurture a love of learning in Reception class and assisting with our After School Club.

This is a fantastic opportunity to become a valued member of our welcoming community and contribute to the development of our youngest learners. Reporting directly to the Head of Early Years, you will work closely with the Reception class teacher to support the children's learning and development. Your responsibilities will include assisting with engaging activities, helping with daily routines, and contributing to the organisation of the classroom. As part of the After School club team, you will plan and lead activities for children in the Early Years After School club.

Hours: Permanent, term-time only, Monday to Friday, 11:15am - 6pm (31 hours 15 mins per week).
Salary: £25,035- £25,454 (full-time equivalent)

✅ What we’re looking for:
  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g. CACHE Diploma)
  • Strong EYFS knowledge
  • Experience with phonics and online journals (e.g. Tapestry)
  • A nurturing, team-focused approach
