Are you looking for a rewarding Teaching Assistant role in a special needs school?
A well-established special school in Wolverhampton is seeking a full-time Early Years Teaching Assistant to support a class of pupils with complex learning needs, including
Autism, communication difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
This is a minimum 12-month contract with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils in an Early Years class with a range of special educational needs (SEN)
  • Assist in delivering engaging, differentiated learning activities
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Provide personal care and maintain a safe, structured classroom environment
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff

Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in Early Years or primary settings
  • Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and communication
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Resilience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
